Soeben habe ich eine E-Mail über den Release der PHP Version 4.4.8 erhalten. Das Update enthällt alle Updates seit der Version 4.4. Gleichzeitig haben die PHP Entwickler damit angekündigt, dass es das letzte Update für PHP 4 sein wird, es seidenn es treten noch Sicherheitslücken auf (aber auch dafür wird es nur noch Updates bis zum 08.08.2008 geben). Damit wird man quasi gezwungen, bald auf PHP 5 umzusteigen. Ich finde, dass es ein guter Schritt seitens der PHP Entwickler ist, denn dann sehen die Hoster, die noch immer PHP 4 einsetzen, hoffentlich endlich mal ein, dass ein Update auf PHP 5 notwendig wird. Dann kann ich auch hoffentlich bald die extrawürste für meine Scripts, für die PHP 4 User, vergessen *g*
